World Soil Day – 5th December 2021
World Soil Day is observed every year on 5th December across India by Jai Kisaan team to raise awareness about the importance of soil to the sustenance of life on earth. The quality of soil is getting degraded, which has led to environmental issues. So, to manage the soil issues, the human kind has come together to maintain the well-being and sustainability of life on earth.
This year, Jai Kisaan team organized 154 “World Soil Day” programmes across all the regions of Adventz on 5th December 2021, with the theme of “Halt Soil Salinization, Boost Soil Productivity”. These programmes were participated by 8275 farmers & 345 dealers/retailers.
At each program, leading progressive farmers graced the dais and presented their success stories to the fellow farmers. Scientists from Universities and KVK’s participated and provided technical information to farmers. During the events, soil health cards were distributed to farmers and they were advised to apply fertilizers based on soil health card recommendation
